About de Merc
de Merc Chamber Choir is a compact, versatile mixed-voice adult choir, performing mainly in Essex and Hertfordshire.
The choir enjoys an eclectic but accessible repertoire, ranging from the 16th century to contemporary works.
Most concerts are a cappella and often include forgotten or neglected classics by well-known composers, alongside music by new and lesser-known composers.
The intimacy and flexibility of a small chamber choir allow us to explore a wide range of music and to bring audiences the distinctive sound of unaccompanied ensemble singing.
Sing With Us
New singers are always welcome.
If you are a confident SATB singer and would like to join a friendly chamber choir, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings in Harlow, Essex.
